We are looking forward to welcoming you to the first Rally of 2024 at the very popular campsite near Rother Valley Country Park. May Day Rally - Diamond Park, Oxford

Dates:            03 May - 06 May 2024 (3 nights)

We are returning to Oxford this May Day weekend to a campsite we have stayed at before, only 5 miles north of Oxford, 8 miles south of Bicester and 30 minutes drive from Banbury, on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds with numerous attractions nearby.

They provide a fully equipped toilet block with solar assisted heated hot water including a family bathroom with baby changing facilities, showers, privacy cubicles, hair dryers and indoor washing up facilities together with a laundry room and a chemical disposal point.  FREE WiFi is  available.

Spring Bank Rally - Alton, The Star

Address:         Stoke-on-Trent ST10 3DW

Dates:            24 May - 02 June 2024 (9 nights)

After booking difficulties with the previous site planned for the AGM Rally we have arranged a Rally to be held at Alton, The Star. However in line with our constitution this meant that we were outside of the required 30 days notice period for the AGM meeting,  the meeting will therefore be held later in the year.

The Peak District National Park is right on the doorstep of the Caravan and Camping Club's site at Alton, The Star. If you are looking for Alton Towers camping, this attractive, well maintained family-friendly site is perfectly placed, being just a mile from the theme park.

Carsington Water and Visitor Centre, north east of the campsite, offers a wide range of activities for all the family on and off the water including miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore, a children’s play area, fishing and many water sports.

While Stoke-on-Trent may not be an obvious tourist destination you can see the Anglo-Saxon treasures of the Staffordshire Hoard at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery here. There’s also the Wedgewood Visitor Centre full of artefacts, some dating back to Josiah Wedgewood – the man who started the pottery industry as we know it today.

Early Summer Rally - Thorpe Hall Caravan and Camping Site

Address:        Rudston, Driffield, YO25 4JE

Dates:           06-14 July 2024 (8 nights)

Karen Oxley & Ken Prince are hosting a early Summer Rally at a new to us campsite near Bridlington, set in the sheltered, old walled gardens of Thorpe Hall Country Estate. They are only about a 5-10 minute drive from the coastal attractions of Bridlington and the surrounding area so you’ve the best of both worlds.

Thorpe Hall is a privately owned, Grade II* listed building which was built in the early 1700’s and is still very much a working estate today and forms an important part of the local community. Whilst on site keep an eye out for the many birds and animals that visit us from rabbits to buzzards, woodpeckers to deer.

Being a family home, the house and gardens are not open to the public but they are surrounded by flora and fauna and you are welcome to explore the estate via the public footpaths and bridleways. They are dog friendly but as they are a working estate and a home to ground nesting birds they do ask that all dogs be kept on a lead.

If you fancy eating out , take a short walk along the footpath from the campsite into Rudston village where you will find our local community pub. Be sure to visit All Saints Church on the way to see the ancient monolith and learn about the history of the village.

If fishing is your thing, as long as you have the relevant licence they have a beautiful lake available where you can while away a sunny afternoon.

Summer Gathering Chipping Norton - Cotswold Hills Country Park

Address:         Hook Norton Rd, Chipping Norton OX7 5TE

Dates:            16-18 August 2024 (2 nights)

We return to the Cotswold Hills Country Park campsite which was so popular in 2023,  located on the outskirts of the market town of Chipping Norton for an informal gathering.

Halloween Rally - Smeaton's Lakes

Address:          Great North Rd, Newark NG23 6ED

Karen Oxley & Ken Prince are hoping to be able to host our annual Halloween rally at Smeaton's lakes which unfortunately had to be cancelled in 2023 due to the extreme weather.

We will update this listing once the Rally has been finalised.
